A lethal virus has swept the planet. Contagion is ubiquitous, no one is immune, and no one can be trusted. Four friends race over the back roads of the American West in search of a remote utopian beach on the Gulf of Mexico where they may wait out the pandemic peacefully. Their preparations are thwarted when their car breaks down on a remote stretch of road, precipitating a series of events that would cement their fates.
