Zoot Suit
Zoot Suit is the film adaptation of the critically acclaimed play by Luis Valdez, which is based on the genuine Sleepy Lagoon murder case and the 1940s Los Angeles zoot suit riots. Henry Reyna is the head of a group of Mexican-Americans committed to San Quentin without sufficient proof for the murder of a man in Sleepy Lagoon. As members of the defense committee, Alice Bloomfield and George Shearer battle for the liberation of Henry and his companions against a glaring injustice.
