Jack Taylor
Jack Taylor is an Irish television drama based on a set of books by Ken Bruen. Set in Galway, the series celebrities Iain Glen at the eponymous role of Jack Taylor, a former officer with the Garda SÃochána who becomes an"finder" after departing the service. Taylor is just a man who belongs searching for clues where others haven't bothered to. He knows his hometown's roads just like the trunk of his hands.
The series aired on Canvas in Belgium with subtitles, and subsequently was broadcast on TV3 in Ireland on 2 August 2010. February 2013, it received its UK debut to 21. The series has already been made available on DVD. It's received mixed reviews. Bernice Harrison of this Times felt that the series was cheered by Glen's voiceovers, which gave the character the feel of a gumshoe at a film . But David Stephenson of the Daily Express said he had been hooked by the strong opening order of the first episode. A private investigator interviewed by The Guardian's Laura Barnett reported he found that the string amusing, however it did not give an accurate portrayal of his profession.
