Takeshi's Castle

Takeshi's Castle was a Japanese game show that ran on the Tokyo Broadcasting System from 1986 until 1990. It starred Takeshi Kitano as a count who owns a castle and sets severe hurdles for players to overcome in order to reach him. The show has gone on to become a worldwide phenomenon. TBS' 50th anniversary celebrations included a special live "revival" on April2, 2005.
