The Day Today
The Day Now is a British parody of television current affairs programmes, broadcast in 1994, also created with the comedians Chris Morris and Armando Iannucci. It's an adaptation of this radio programme On the Hour, which has been broadcast on BBC Radio 4 between 1991 and 1992. On-the-hour was composed by Morris, Iannucci, Steven Wells, Richard Herring, Stewart Lee, Andrew Glover, David Quantick, and also the cast. For the Afternoon Now, Peter Baynham joined the writing team, also Herring and Lee were replaced by Graham Linehan and Arthur Mathews. Today the primary cast of On the Hour was retained for the Afternoon.
The Day Now is consists of six episodes and a selection of briefer, intermediate slots recorded as advertisements trailers to the segments that were longer. The six episodes were originally broadcast January. Now has won many awards, for example Morris winning the 1994 British Comedy Award for Best Newcomer. All six episodes are on BBC DVD, using been issued on VHS.
