Davy Crockett
Davy Crockett is just a sequential which aired on ABC. The show stars Fess Parker as Real Life frontiersman Davy Crockett along with Buddy Ebsen as his friend.
The first few episodes of this serial were edited together because the 1955 theatrical film Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier, and rebroadcast in color in the 1960s when the Disney program went into NBC. This show and film have been known for its catchy theme song,"The Ballad of Davy Crockett". It was filmed at the Mountain Farm Museum next to the visitor center at Oconaluftee near the entrance of Qualla Reservation and Janss Conejo Ranch.
The last two episodes were edited as the 1956 theatrical film Davy Crockett and the River Pirates. It was filmed in Cave in Rock, Illinois.
